Placenta Honouring

Soul anchor. Tree of Life. Twin. Second Mother. The forgotten Chakra. Soul map. Guardian Angel.

Our ancient creation stories across cultures tell us of the Earth Mother birthing the world; her amniotic fluid became the oceans and the placenta the tree of life. For thousands of years, countless cultures have ceremonially revered the placenta because it is a symbol of life and soul.

We all started life alongside and looking up at this magnificent organ. Our placentas deliver our oxygen, nutrients and hormones. They perform all the functions of the gut, lungs, immune system, kidney, liver and skin. It is the only temporary organ grown.

Anchor the Soul

I offer a bespoke ceremonial placenta burial to honour this sacred organ. Weaving in plant allies, poems, blessings and prayers as we lay the placenta face down, anchoring its roots into the soil of the Earth. Your babe’s soul map will be received and activated by the Great Mother’s grid.

The Spiritual Significance of the Placenta, shared by an Aboriginal Elder.

The original people of Australia see the placenta as a hologram of a person’s spirit and that it contains the life map of our soul. When the placenta is planted in the Great Mother’s Earth then she understands that you have arrived and can take care of you.

When you reach puberty and spill your first blood or seed, then your soul map is activated and The Mother can support you in your life’s journey.

Every person on the planet has a unique Miwi (soul) print on their placenta that holds the instructions for their life’s journey. When you are born, your placenta needs to be buried in the Mother Earth. Then your journey is anchored and your Miwi print waits there until you reach puberty.

To lose your spiritual map is like being lost at sea. No anchor. No oars. Spinning with no direction, no instructions.
