Our Menarche experience has the potential to shape us for the rest of our lives. When it is shrouded in shame, fear, unacknowledged or silenced it manifests as a lack of confidence, distrust and even distain for our female bodies and can create a fear of our next rite of passage: childbirth
The majority of us did not receive a proper initiatory experience that honoured our first blood. Don’t we yearn for something different for our young women?
Our children learn from what we model. Our daughter’s are learning what to think about their future moon blood based on what we do, say and show them. As we heal our own relationship to our blood, we teach our children the beautiful wisdom of our cyclical female bodies.
When we recognise and honour Menarche as the magickal and potent transition from girlhood into womanhood we create a deep well of trust in the experience of being a woman

I have 12+ years experience as a former teacher. I create an age-appropriate safe circle that is fun, nurturing and creative so the young woman feels celebrated in this rite of passage.
Surrounded by her closest friends, Mother, sisters, aunties…this circle will equip all attendees with the knowledge and potency of what it means to become a woman. We share in arts + crafts, journalling, embodiment practices, a shared feast. I deliver an interactive session on the gifts of our inner seasons and cycles, moods, hormones, Earth-friendly menstrual products and self care rituals.
